Having recently completed their unit on Indigenous Canada, through which they learned about the Mi'kmaq and the process of reconciliation, our Grade Six students took it upon themselves to make their voices heard. They came together to write letters to the owners of Mic Mac Mall, strongly advocating for the name of the mall to be changed. While they may not receive a response, these Grammarians can be proud knowing that they are helping to make a difference and remove inequalities in our community.
