Senior Girls Varsity Basketball Team

Congratulations to our Varsity Girls Basketball Team who won the Divison 2 Regional Championship against Millwood High School on February 20 with a score of 55-41. It was a 30 point win in the semi finals on February 18 against Carrefour that got them to the final game. The championship win means that the team will advance directly onto the NSSAF Provincial Championship taking place from March 6-8 at the Breton Education Centre in New Waterford, NS. Good luck to the Girls Varsity Team and the coaching staff!

Senior Boys Varsity Basketball Team

Congratulations to our Varsity Boys Basketball Team who captured the Division 1 Boys Regional Championship title for the first time in Grammar history! The team went 3-0 in playoff action this year after finishing their regular season with a 12-1 record. The boys first defeated Prince Andrew High School in the quarter final game of the regional championship by a score of 110-72, which sent them onto the semi-finals to play Citadel High School who they beat with a score of 103-59. This would lead to a re-match in the final between Dartmouth and Grammar.

Having not lost a game since losing to Grammar in December 2018, Dartmouth was favoured to win, but Grammar brought their best and topped them! The big win was led by Jonah Crowther with 29 points, followed by Ethan Marshall Harris with 27, Lydell Husbands with 18, and Euan Brydie with 16 (all seniors on the team). Good luck to the boys, who advance directly to the NSSAF Provincial Championships being hosted at Saint Mary's University from March 5-7.
