Dear Grammar Families,
As this is the first newsletter of the year, I’d like to take another opportunity to welcome returning students along with offering a warm greeting to all of our newest members of the Grammar family.
Already, we have settled into the lively rhythms of the new school year, with thought-provoking classes engaging eager students from Junior Primary to Grade 12; with service programming encouraging community altruism, beginning with our annual Terry Fox Run; with athletic teams encouraging young people to participate in soccer, cross-country, touch football, and golf; and with arts offerings inviting students to audition for our Senior School musical and chose instruments for our band program. As well, our Student Council hosted an engaging faculty versus Middle School Students basketball game while our Parents Activities’ Committee (PAC) hosted an always enjoyable Coffee Drop-In on the first day of school and the annual Ice Cream Social – and these are just a few of the activities that took place at Grammar in the first few weeks.
Certainly, I am looking forward to seeing all the extraordinary activities and achievements that will come this year at Grammar.
Yours,
Mr. Steven Laffoley
Headmaster
